KADISTA privacy

Learn how KADISTA processes and protects personal data.

This policy explains what data KADISTA uses, why it is needed, and how users can manage it.

Version 1.1 ยท 21 October 2026

1. Who is responsible

KADISTA provides a specialist directory and direct communication tools. Contact support@kadista.com with privacy questions or data requests.

2. Data we use

Registration and use may involve a name, contact details, language, city or postcode, profile photo, authentication details, and account settings.

Specialist profiles may also contain service descriptions, categories, service areas, work photos, website or social links, business details.

Messages, completed contacts, reviews, reports, blocks, notifications, device registrations, and security event logs are processed to operate and protect the marketplace.

3. Location

Precise location is requested only after a user action and is used to find nearby specialists. Users can decline and enter a city or postcode manually.

Only the necessary service area is shown publicly. A specialist's exact home address should not be published.

4. Why data is processed

Data is used to create accounts, publish and find services, enable communication, rank relevant results, prevent abuse, moderate content, and provide support.

KADISTA does not sell personal data. Infrastructure providers receive only the data needed for hosting, file storage, notification delivery, and legal obligations.

5. Legal bases for processing

Account, listing, and message data are processed to perform the agreement with the user and provide requested KADISTA features. A feature cannot operate without its required data.

Security, fraud prevention, moderation, and relevance improvements rely on KADISTA's legitimate interest in maintaining a safe and useful service while respecting users' rights. Precise location, optional notifications, and future optional analytics technology are used only with consent, which can be withdrawn. Some records may be processed to meet legal obligations.

KADISTA does not make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects for a user. An automated security restriction can be challenged through support@kadista.com and reviewed by a person.

6. Recipients and international transfers

Data may be shared with hosting, database, file storage, email, SMS, and notification providers only as needed for their task, and with competent authorities when a valid legal requirement applies.

Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, KADISTA uses an applicable GDPR mechanism, such as a European Commission adequacy decision or Standard Contractual Clauses, and assesses any necessary supplementary safeguards.

7. Retention and deletion

Active data is kept while the account or feature is needed. Listings have their own publication period, and backups follow a defined retention schedule.

A deletion request has a 30-day recovery period. The account and personal data are then deleted or anonymised, except records needed for security, disputes, fraud prevention, or legal obligations.

8. Your choices and rights

Users may request access, correction, portability, deletion, restriction, or object to processing. Location and notification permissions can be withdrawn in device settings.

Email support@kadista.com to make a request. We may verify account ownership before disclosing or deleting data.

If we do not resolve your concern, you may lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl or seek a judicial remedy.

9. Cookies and browser storage

KADISTA does not use advertising cookies or cookies that track visitors across websites. We therefore do not currently request consent for such cookies.

The website uses browser localStorage and sessionStorage for its operation. They may store your selected language, country and city, display theme, temporary feed and form state, and data needed to maintain sign-in and protect the session. This information is not used for advertising profiles.

You can clear website data in your browser settings. You will then need to select preferences again and may need to sign in again. If KADISTA later introduces optional analytics or advertising technology, separate consent will be requested before it is enabled.

10. Security and policy changes

KADISTA uses access controls, protected session storage, security logging, and separate file storage. No transmission method can guarantee absolute security.

Material policy changes will be published with a new version and effective date.
